14 March 2017 – A Georgian conductor George Tchitchinadze has been announced a new artistic director of the orchestra of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, replacing a Dutch conductor Ernst van Tiel. The first concert performed with Tchitchinadze will take place on Friday.
15 December 2016 – The change of the artistic director of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra was supposed to take place during the summer break, however, due to the lack of a successor, Ernst van Tiel has agreed to conduct the orchestra a bit longer. From March, there will be a new artistic director, a Georgian conductor George Tchitchinadze.
24 February 2015 – George Tchitchinadze is a real master of conducting. He is one of the most appreciated conductors of his generation, who performs all around the world with great success. He will perform in Gdańsk upcoming Friday, February 27th.
